Ford F-100 1951 Description
This 1951 Ford F-1 stands apart as a very creative way to showcase a clean rat rod custom. So beyond the mean matte black paint is a very thoughtful build with great small block power. That's why we know legends aren't born...they're built. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this one is a cut-above because of its tasteful customizing. It starts with the aggressive lowered stance that is emphasized further by the tough matte black attitude. The aggressive red grille and diamond plating in the custom truck bed furthers this attitude. But even with the intimidation of a freight train, there's still room for shiny style. It's seen in everything from the Ford V8 badge on the bumper, to the detailed slats on the hood. Of course the piece of brightwork that will draw everyone in are those large 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels that fill the wheel wells. This is the kind of interior that really gets attention. The rat rod culture of celebrating patina and using what you have around the shop is honored here perfectly... but if you look closely, there's a premium twist. After all piston parts for pedals, trophy cup for a cup holder, and a speed shop sign for a floorboard are all too cool not to have taken some time to create. This was also built to be a speed machine. That's why you get a three-spoke steering wheel, floor shifter, and an upgraded gauge panel. This speedy attitude continues under the hood. The alloy air grabber and shiny valve covers give this 350 cubic-inch small block a nice look, but it still doesn't betray its tough as nails image. The V8 inhales deeply through an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It exhales with authority as the headers feed the rumbling dual exhaust. So, this hot rod looks and sounds like it should, but despite its sinister attitude, it's quite nice on the road. The upgrade to an independent front suspension, TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and modern performance tires makes this mean machine easy to enjoy on the open road. This 1951 Ford F-1 is an awesome kind of custom pickup that takes its freight train commanding appearance and puts upgraded V8 power behind it. When a cool total package like this is offered at an obtainable price, then you know it won't last long in our showroom. Call now!!
