Ford Mustang 1968 Description
1968 Mustang Fastback...California/Washington car... Believed to be the original numbers matching 289 engine and Automatic transmission. This was told to us by the second owner who was told that by the original owner, ho had it since day 1 in California. Fresh repaint in 2015 the original Candy Apple Red which looks great. The car is equipped with the very rare tilt away steering wheel, hen you open the drivers door it automatically gets outta your way (super cool option) Power steering, eluxe seat belts, 5" radial tires and new chrome American Racing wheels (Deluxe factory hub caps available). The Black vinyl interior appears to be mostly original (it's nearly perfect) accept for new carpet. This outstanding Fastback drives beautiful and sounds amazing. All the lights and gauges work. Both bumpers have been re-chromed and look great. All the Stainless Steel is nice and all the glass is original accept for the front windshield is new replacement tinted glass. The odometer reads 16,908. 1 of 1 on the Marti report (which is included with the sale) ordered with tilt away steering wheel. Paperwork and receipts handed down to us go back into the 70's, one of it disputes the mileage at what it is now...car sat in storage for 20 years before the second owners bought it in little rock Arkansas ... It has had floor pans welded into both drivers and passengers sides but no other metal work has been performed we can see. The underside is immaculate for it's age. All new wires, askets, oses have been installed by the previous owner. They owned it for 2 years before we bought it from them.
