A total of only 50. 48 XL fastback coupes. like the one being made available here. were produced for the 1968 model year. This accounted for a mere 7 percent of the 1968 full-size Fords produced. If you can find one these XL coupes can sell for over $20K. assuming you want a really nice. trophy candidate. With the small production numbers you may have a difficult time finding one. so bid high and often!This is a very rare car and quite unique. This is a 98% original "survivor" car. The car has been in nearly constant service since 1968 seeing very light use. This is not an "older restoration" it has been repainted one time maybe 20 years ago. The interior. engine and most everything else is all original. only having parts replaced as needed for maintenance. The frame and floors are solid and the body shows some signs of recent oxidation due to the old paint starting to "breathe". Clear Tennessee title.
