This auction is for a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. 289 V 8 4spd posi The prior owner of this car contacted me and told me he was relocating to Hawaii and could not take the car with him. He purchased it a little over 2 years ago from a Florida dealer and paid the big bucks. When the car arrived the body condition was fine but the mechanics were nothing as described. After a long battle with the dealer in Florida and getting no where he made it his mission to make the car right. A little over $14. 00 was spent on the drive train alone. I have many of the receipts . He went with the best quality parts he could buy. $3500 was spent on the motor . Trans completely rebuilt. Brand new posi traction rear end complete. Up grade to new power front disc brakes. ps. and vintage air conditioning. Steering column. front end . brake lines. bearings. drive shaft etc all new. Dual exhaust system all new. Window regulators and other related parts all new. The list just goes on and on. The car was originally from Texas so the body was really nice and solid . The interior is in good shape but if I had to guess it probably originally came with a black std interior. Some where the seats were replaced with pony seats. has an after market AM_FM stereo made to look like the factory radio. Magnum 500 wheels and tires were purchased brand new as a set. A few of the chrome parts on the car are original and show minor pitting. Where the car is so well done you would probably want to replace these parts. The top has a little age but is still in decent shape. This is a turn key ready to drive car. The car handles and runs unbelievably strong and goes like a scalded dog.
