Up for sale in El Paso Texas is this really cool 1962 Ford Fairlane 500. This car has been in storage since 1992 before I bought it this year. Since I have owned it. I have done some work to it to get it in the condition it is in now. Please understand that this is not a fully restored car. This is a running project car. If you are looking for a fully restored car. hen please look at Barret Jackson or Ebay for one priced at $30. 00. If you are looking for a great builder on a reasonable budget . then this is the one for you! This Fairlane has a straight six cylinder engine with a new fuel pump. new points and condenser. new cap and rotor. new plugs. il and filter. The transmission is a standard 3 speed on the column. 3 on the tree). Both the engine and transmission are in working order but are not new or rebuilt. My plan was to get the car running and driving before I went crazy and put a hi-performance 302 and a four speed! The headlights. rake lights and turn signals are in good working order. I installed a new ignition switch and tumbler as well. The brakes are in working order as well. All the glass is in real good shape. The trunk is in real good shape as well. I did find some rust on the front corners of the floor boards (not to bad). All in all. this car is in pretty good shape for a 1962. The reason is because this car has spent its life in the desert southwest! Guys. really think that this is a great price for this classic. It is not a rust bucket.
