Ford Galaxie 1968 Description
1966 Ford Galaxie Fastback Up for sale is my 1968 Ford Galaxie 500. I bought this earlier this year. I have a clear PA title and PA registration. It does have the original CA Black plate on the front. I just had it serviced as well. Runs great, nd I get lots of looks and waves. 390 Big Block 2 door hardtop Bench Seat Gold Metallic Paint – original color FMX Automatic Tranny 2.75:1 rear end Below is the description of the gentleman I bought it from. He bought it from the original owner, ut never titled or registered it. I had it inspected and serviced by the shop that does all my classic work (vettes, ustangs, mpala, tc) I have 3 classics at the moment, nd 2 of them need to go. This is listed locally, o I do reserve the right to end the auction early. If the auction is at a minimum of $8000, hen I won’t end it early. This car is about as straight and clean as they come. It has lived its entire live in California, nd only been in PA this year. Great car and fun to drive. I’d drive this across country: it runs that well. This is a luxury car from the late 60’s. It has AC (blows, ut is cool, ot cold). Factory front disc brakes. Very comfortable car. The seats are ugly, ut comfortable. The only rust on the whole car is in the well of the trunk. Some pin holes and some cracks, ut no open, aping holes. Easy fix or patch if you want. See the description below. Great car. Ask questions. $500 deposit due with 24 hours. Balance within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping. Funds must clear before the car leaves my home. Text or email with questions. Great car. Hard to find.Car is in the Pittsburgh, A area. Ok, ere's the story on what I know of this car. I purchased it 2 years ago from the original owner. An elderly gentleman from Orland, A. He told me he bought it brand new. He also told me that the mileage (20,730) is the original mileage, nd that it has only turned over once. So, t's a 1 owner, 20,730 mile car. This man told me that he had moved from Orland to Magalia, A and that his home in Orland had a 5 car garage, nd his new home had a 2 car garage. He said the only reason for selling it was that he didn't have enough room at his new place. He told me he had just had it painted, o it would be close to 2 years old now. I asked him why he had it painted, nd he said "just so it would shine better than the original paint did, nd it would sell faster." He told me that there wasn't any bodywork needed, nd that this was the 1st repaint ever! He said he tried to wax the original paint, ut it just wouldn't shine up as well as he wanted. I sure wish I'd have seen it prior to painting, 'll bet I would have been able to rub/polish it out. Oh well. Since I've owned it I've replaced the original carpeting, nd just had the headliner replaced. Both are only a week old. I've rebuilt the original 2 bbl. carburetor, nd tuned it up. I also changed the oil, ilter, nd coolant. It runs and drives great! Very comfortable car. No leaks, eird noises, attles, r smoke. The original A/C works fantastic! It gets cold... Transmission shifts great, rakes are power front disc, hich was an option for the 1st time in '68. Plenty of power, nd super smooth. I've never even had to charge the A/C, nd after 2 years, t still blows ice cold! Data Plate info:• Body: 63B, dr. hdtp, ench seat

This car is beautiful, ets lookers whenever I take it out. Starts right up, uns, rives, hifts, teers, nd stops excellent. Rust free California car. when the carpeting was replaced, took photos of the floors without carpeting in. I will attach a couple of those, ut virtually rust free. Rockers, oor bottoms, loors, rame, tc. all rust free. The trunk has a new mat, nd there is some rust in the well. Several small pin holes, nd a couple of little 4" cracks. Easily repairable, n my opinion. All gauges work, ipers, eater, /C, efrost, tc. This car is bone stock with the exception of the stereo that the old guy had installed, nd he had had the seats reupholstered once upon a time. They still look very nice, ut are not original. In fact, hey're not even vinyl, hey're a tan cloth material, nd have stood up very well. No burns, tains, oles, ears, ront or back. Original spare tire, ack, nd all tools are still stored away in the trunk. The carpeting was replaced with ACC (very good quality) about 1 month ago. Had a new headliner installed a couple of weeks ago.
