Ford F-100 1963 Description
After much soul searching, 've decided to sell my 1963 F100 4x4. This has been my passion project for the last several years but it's time to let it go. I have another pressing project for my better half and in need to devote my time to that one. This F100 is almost completed and comes with everything to get it done, nd then some.I have rebuilt the entire drive train including transmission, ransfer case, joints, ear end and replaced the steering gear. The cab, ront clip and hood are complete, ody work done, O RUST, nd installed. The bed has not yet been worked on but has been removed.
The engine needs the carburetor rebuilt and then to be wired and timed. The electronic ignition is new and needs to be set. The interior, s in all these, s very basic but is painted and the seat has been re-done. The fuel tank has been cleaned, ainted and re-installed. The fuel line needs to be installed as does the fuel filler tube, rommet and cap. The dash needs to be wired as well.
I have a new Auto Wire Wiring kit for the truck (cost $600!) that is in the box and will go with the truck. Also have the new headliner and new steering wheel.
I'm including a front-hinge hood kit as well. This will not only look good but fix the classic alignment issue at the cowl that these trucks always seem to have.
I also have a set of wheels that will go with it, f you want to replace the standard steel ones.
The work that has already been completed includes:
Frame stripped, lasted, ainted (POR15) and re-assembled
Rear axles rebuilt including new bearings and seals.
Ford 9" Center section rebuilt and installed
All new U joints in all drive shafts
Transfer case rebuilt with new bearings and sealsFront hubs rebuilt
Transmission (4 speed granny) rebuilt
New Front Suspension
New Steering Gear
New Brake Lines (Hard and hoses)
New Brakes
Cab body work completed - NO Rust
Front Clip body work completed - NO RustHood Completed - NO Rust
Cab floor, nner fenders and outer firewall sprayed with Raptor Liner
Bench Seat recovered and ready to install
New Carpeting (not installed yet)
AutoWire F100 Re-Wire kit (this cost $600!)
Front Hood Hinge kit (to get the hood aligned perfect and hinge at the front. Trick!)
Electronic distributor conversion
Red's Shorty Headers
Alternator Conversion (no more generator!)
New Door seals and window parts (not yet installed)
New Headliner (not yet installed)
Too many other new parts to list!
At this point, he truck just needs to be wired, he carburetor rebuilt, he interior installed and the bed completed (no body work has been done on that yet, ut I have the rear cap repair panels for it). The front tilt hood kit needs to be installed as well and the door seals need to be installed. I'm sure there are a few other minor things but it's so close I hate to let it go.
I know I have WAY more invested that what I'll get but I have too many other pressing projects and need to liquidate this one. It's a tough decision when it's so close but I just don't have the time to get it across the finish line.
Pics don't do it justice but this is what I have.
