Ford Mustang 1965 Description
This is probably one of the best 1965 rust free coupe's I have seen. The coupe has been sitting in a garage for 30 plus years. taken apart. The original owner took it apart and left it sit. He recently passed away. I own a local repair shop and I'm very well know as a "Ford" guy. I was contacted by the owners daughter to see if the car was worth putting back together. I had it towed to my shop to asses it. and I told her it was in incredible shape and well worth restoring. I preceded to re-assemble it. the front hubs and spindles were missing. engine was taken apart. instrument panel. and fuel tank were also missing. I installed new hubs. bearings. brake shoes. hoses and hardware to get it rolling. I also installed new Uniroyal white wall tires. and a new gas tank. I then began work on the engine. and determined it has sat too long. So I had a 6 cylinder engine and c-4 automatic transmission out of a 1969 mustang that I used as a donor. that ran and shifted well. Engine now runs great. I also installed a new radiator and hoses but had to stop working on it because I couldn't get in touch with the daughter. When I did finally get in touch with her. her financial situation had changed and she was unable to pay my bill for the work that was already completed. So we worked out a deal where I purchased the car. I don't have the time to finish the project. We do have a clear Wisconsin title for it. This would make an awesome V-8 project or Fastback conversion or returned to stock condition. I have the original engine and transmission and it will go with the car too. Ask me any questions. I'm an honest guy and will tell you the truth about the condition of any components or any thing else you want to know about. Please serious bidders only. No excuses like "my kid must have bid on it" or "my computer was hacked" We will require a $1. 00 Pay Pal deposit within 24 hours of auction end and the car needs to be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end. The car is NOT in drivable condition. It will need to be trailered to it's destination.
