Classic & Exotic Automobile Brokerage. In recent years. the classic vehicles that have been kept original and have not been messed with have skyrocketed in value. This great 1946 Ford 1. 5 Ton Stakebody Truck has only had two owners in her long history and has always been kept inside. protected from the elements. It is easy to find a Cadillac or a Corvette that has always been garage kept. but these trucks were used hard on farms and often left outside. Not this truck. she has always been well cared for and it shows. The 9' long by 7' wide flatbed has been recently repainted in a tough duty black paint. The wood sides are brand new and include dual rear swing out barn style doors. making loading and unloading cargo a joy. The wood was left unstained so that the new owner can decide their color choice or simply leave natural wood. The body was repainted once years ago and the Ford green paint still shines very nicely. The original flathead Ford V8 starts right up. idles nicely. and runs very nicely. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes work just as they should. The heads and intake were pulled within the last 100 miles to make sure that all valves were seating correctly. Everything was cleaned and reinstalled. The plugs. wires. rotor. battery. cables. and fuel lines were all replaced. The fuel tank and sending until were also replaced. The result is a perfect running truck that is ready to take to local car shows. joy ride around town or use on your farm. The interior is in great driver condition. The floor was repainted in the same heavy duty black paint as the bed and then new carpet was installed. The seat was recovered in marine grade vinyl years ago and still looks very nice. The seat springs are all in great shape and the seat is very comfortable. All of the glass in the cab is the original Ford stamped glass. The doors open and close with easy and the windows roll up and down just as they should.
