Take a look at this beautifully restored 1940 Ford Standard brought to you by Caruso Classic Cars. This car has been completely gone through and well cared for. There are an estimated 4000 miles on the rebuild and is a rot free car! The car comes with many extras! Sold as a running and driving car!
Engine – Stock 85 HP 59 series Flathead V8. Engine Rebuilt & Blueprinted 2007/2008 by “J&M Machine Co. Inc. Southborough MA (10/2005) (Paperwork provided). 6V Positive ground. Dual aftermarket thermostats installed in the radiator hoses.
Transmission – 3 speed manual column shift
Interior & Options – Stock tan interior completely redone by Dick’s Custom Upholstery of Hyannis Ma. Mohair seats. All moldings are stock woodgrain. Stock gauges all work but temperature gauge which appears to be slightly off. A mechanical temperature gauge has been installed under the dash. Rear windows crank down and to the sides as they should. Right side track needs attention.
Exterior & Options– Car has been painted in a two tone white and green finish. All steel body. Paint has a few minor blemishes (a small bubble on fender a couple small chips and a small ding). Has original 1 taillight configuration plus additional trunk taillight for safety. Trunk has been redone and has no rot or rust.
Brakes & Suspension- Stock drum brakes and suspension. New front break cylinders and axle seals were installed in 2014. Stock rear end with Houdaille Lever Action Shocks. Stock front I beam suspension with stock Houdaille shocks. Dunlop wide white wall radials 7/32. 16 inch stock rims with stock moon hub caps.
Undercarriage – Painted undercarriage with very minor surface rust in two spots. Stock single exhaust.
How does car Run- Car runs and drives beautifully. Stays at 160 degrees while driving. Shifts as it should.
History – The car was purchased by its current owner after a full restoration in 2007. Car has been appraised at $34500. Comes with appraisal document manuals repair books and some receipts. This car has won two ‘First in Class’ awards and one ‘Third in Class’ awards in 2013.
Extras - New 6 volt (pos grd) windshield wiper motor; 6V Fan; two (2) new six volt radiator fans; new fuel pump; extra upper and lower radiator hoses; rear axle puller tool; Row radiator with two upper and two lower hose connections from ‘The Brassworks’ in Paso Robles California; Car cover; New wiring harness; new right side taillight; Spark Plugs; Fuel pump.
