Ford Other 1940 Description

1940 Ford 2 Door Standard
Nice solid car that runs and drives. The paint was done years ago, nd I would rate it as driver quality. It has minor scratches that don't show in the pictures, nd the obvious primer spot.
It has a later standard bore 41 to 48 flathead V-8 engine, nd otherwise appears to be the original drivetrain. The car is solid, nd with a few things fixed, ould be ready for driving fun this spring and summer.
The car had been stored for several years, nd about a year ago the following items were replaced:
All 4 tires, new Bob Drake gas tank, uel sending unit, oth new water pumps, ew fuel pump and pushrod, nd new tie rod ends. Master cylinder, ront wheel cylinders, ubber brake hoses, nd throwout bearing.
It also has new old stock Wheel Vintiques hubcaps and beauty rings.
The floors and trunk are solid, as minor rust in the spare tire dimple in the trunk pan, here are a few bubbles in the paint along the left rear fender and left quarter, ut the fender is solid on the inside. There are also a few small holes in the underside of the rear roll pan. If you look at the pictures, ou can see the side glass has cracks and the rear windows are distressed. Good for a rat rod look, ut not right for a restoration.
The dash is in very good condition.
You will need to sort out the wiring for the lights. Included are two additional tail light assemblies, ut I did not want to add the optional right tail light.
The drag link ends are worn and it needs replaced, new link is around $100.
I have a clear Oregon title to the car in my name.
The car is being sold as-is, ith no warranty expressed or implied. It is listed locally as well, o I reserve the right to end the auction early.
I will ship the car once it is paid for, ith all costs and arrangements to be made by you or your agent.
