Ford Thunderbird 1962 Description
Sports roadster in great condition. This car is a great cruiser that runs out beautiful. Many upgrades including; new seat foam new seat covers new rug new tires and wire rims newly rebuilt window motors and regulators new door gaskets and fuzzies. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt rechromed front and rear bumpers new grille and many things rebuilt restored or replaced. The car runs great and brakes and suspension hold up fine. The top functions great as well. I replaced the mufflers and tailpipes I know I am forgetting what else I have done. I would keep it but I have my eye on another convertible! The car has no rust that I can see other thantwo or three very smallsize holes in the trunk area (apparently the old rugs that were installed hold moisture and this is common). I had an estimate to repair for $450 but it involves pulling the gas tank and it is not getting worse so I left it. The other floor pans rockers fenders havezero rust. I have to lift the shifter when I start it because the neutral safety (so I've been told) needs to be replaced. I didn't do this because it is my anti theft device! The car looks great and paint is excellent not perfect but very nice. It has a few small scratches etc. but shines up fine. I'm not trying to downplay the car but it believe in being honest. It's not worth it to me to lie about it. Engine compartment near mint because motor pulled when tranny rebuilt ( engine and bay painted etc). Overall a great cruiser kids love it (oh yeah I put 3 seat belts in the back too!) drives nice and doesn't need anything to enjoy it. Car is 53 years old sold as is.
