Ford F-100 1951 Description
ALOT of you have seen this auction end with a winning buyer - well I just spent over an hour with eBay on phone going thru 6 different agents to get this straightened out. The buyer was NO WINNER at all ! He demanded to pay thru Pay Pal. I do not do Pay Pal, don't even ask for a deposit. Just that payment be in full within a 7 day time frame beginning at end of auction. Reserve is same. Please review my feedback as a seller - you wont be able to see item but you can see prices and description of what I have sold in past ( or I hope you can, don't know if its just me that can see that or not )This 1951 Ford F100 AND the 1956 Ford F100 are back for sale again. YES, he idiot had won both auctions. This old truck is just too cool for words but I will try -thesimplicity of putting this old truck back on the road again makes this truck for just about anyone ! I am posting this for my friend. We know little about this truck as he did not do the work to get this truck where its at currently. He bought it because it looks like a fun truck to do up. He also bought a 1956 Ford F100 project before this one over a year ago with all sorts of ideas on how to go but now his impulsiveness is taking up room in storage so time to send these projects down the road to someone who will do them. This auction is just for the 1951 Ford. The 1956 will be in another auction - its a big back window cab by the way.
What we know is the frame on this truck is the original with ALOT of work gone into it as you will see. It is completely boxed in. Has a 4 Link rear, independent front suspension with what looks like a Mopar Torsion Bar set up, nbsp;I havent been completely under truck so Im not sure but I didn't notice the adjustable bolts in front A-Arms. The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350, he engine is just a stock 350. The truck has a disc brake front end. There is a pile of parts that go with truck, iscellaneous brackets, teel strapping for bed, gas tank, he original radiator, riginal gauges and alot of stuff I didn't even go thru to inventory. This truck has a clear title on it. The cab and floor are as solid as solid gets ! Even the doors look good. I think where the most work will be is in all 4 fenders and once they are cleaned up and rust repaired then time for all the customization you could think of. There is no wiring harness, o air bags, ust simple updated suspension on a completely rigid frame. Hard to see but there really has been alot of time and money gone into this truck as it sits right now. The front end of this '51 is just vicious and sinister looking - I LOVE IT ! If I had a garage I could store a vehicle in, his truck would NOT BE ON eBay ! My wife and I just love it and would love to have it for ourselves. No bench seat but has a set of buckets that go with it. This truck rolls super easy - though the brakes are not set up yet and it still only has original steering column that can not be hooked up yet. But if you'd like to buy it and ship it, e will do everything helpful loading it and securing it. Tail gate is in cab of truck with all other parts - NEATLY, ot just thrown in.Well ............. just not sure what else to mention or say - pictures speak for themselves and clearly show the loads of fun a person could have putting this old truck back on the road. I think the intention was to not restore it but Rat Rod it.
