Ford Mustang 1967 Description

This handsome fifty year old coupe was purchased a few years ago by a lady for restoration, but it never got finished. It is a six cylinder, with Cruise-O-Matic transmission and no powersteering/brakes and no AC. Starts, runs, drives alright. Has a temporary gas tank which likely means the original tank leaks, but I have not examined it. It has brand new correct whitewall tires ($500) with the optional full wheel covers. No visible collision damage but one wheel well is very rusty. The primer patches show that some of its rust problems have been fixed, but by no means all of them. With a clear title and two original sets of keys, this coupe can be restored to original, or modified for greater performance in the buyer's choice of the 24 optional colors offered in 1967. The original color is "Diamond Green," a very pale green.
The reliable odometer shows 135,609 miles. No body modifications, all glass is good, no oil or coolant leaks, has all its exterior trim, except for the "A" on the trunk lid. Optional chromed rockers (see pictures) have been removed for body work. It has the remote driver's side mirror and the recessed turn signal lights in the louvers on the hood. Front and rear valances are good. The front floors are serviceable for now, but they've been repaired and are soft, so they will need replacement soon. Trunk floor seems solid and has its original mat, matching spare tire cover and jack bag. VIN 7F0 1T2 25031.
The black interior is very nice with no tears or ripped seams and will not need much attention. Seatcushions and backs are in good shape with all lap belts intact. The original carpet is worn on front passenger's side, otherwise good throughout. Speedometer, odometer, ammeter, heat gauge, wipers, heater and fan, horn are all working. After market radio (original in the trunk, aerial broken) and gas gauge do not work. Taillights and headlights (dim & bright) work, as do the brake lights…rear and hood turn signals work, but front does not. The black headliner is fine except for a small 1" tear above the driver. Visors need some seamstitching and the dash pad is a little wavy butundamaged. Left rear window won't go down; the other three will. Front bumper needs a little straightening, but not bad.
A very popular and often pricey model, this coupecan put the buyer in a good-looking collector car for a reasonable price, then can bedriven while the new ownerrestores it at his own pace. Five hundred dollars due within 24 hours of auction's end, remainder within five days. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer and, while the car runs OK, it should be trailered.
