Ford Mustang 1965 Description
1965 Restored & Rebuilt 289 V8 Less than 3k Miles CA Restore
AC, New Transmission, Wheels, Tires, Tint, Power Steering, Custom Dash, Custom Steering Wheel
Over $20k invested in this car w/ Receipts to show it! If you would like to see the receipts, you can message me and I will send you the PDF of the receipts with the major restoration and repair items.
Major Updates Include a rebuilt 289 engine (original engine, rebuilt to spec) new transmission, power steering, rear drum brakes, and on and on and on. I’m looking to buy a new house so this baby has got to go, but it’s been fun. I’ve owned it for about 2 years. Purchased in March 2013 right here on Ebay.
Below are the details of this 1965 Mustang which was manufactured in San Jose, CA and includes the keys along with a clear title ready to go.
All receipts included as well as the original manual (pictured). If you would like to examine some of the receipts, I have about 50% of them scanned to a PDF so you can look them over if you like. But, I would need an email or somewhere to send the PDF. The owner will receive the full binder with all the original receipts from the work the last few years. There’s no less than 25 of them which include parts, labor, and anything modified to the car. The bulk of the restore was done by Pacific Coast Tire & Service in CA which you can see by the receipts.
THESE TWO VIDEOS BELOW GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT THE CAR LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE:

Exterior: The paint is not original. I believe it is originally a Chevrolet blue metallic paint. There are some dings and chipping in the paint. I would give the paint a 7/10 rating. It’s driver quality. Not show quality by any means, but still turns heads. I’ve pictured a few of the most noticeable scratches, dings etc to the paint in the pictures, but there may be more. In addition there are some rust spots underneath the car that you can see on a few of the panels. Ever since I've had the car, the last 2 years, it's garage kept in a heated and cooled area.
Interior: Above I listed the new radio, speakers, Ipod compatible etc etc. If I were going to keep the car, I would probably spring for new seats and fix up the leather a bit (it is the original seats). But, I’ve had the seats in it for the last 2 years, and they sit just fine. Some cracks and stains in some places, and I also pictured a little ripping in the back of the seat, but nothing horrendous.
Tires: Tires have <2k miles on them. I’d give the tires a 85%-90% tread. Wheels show some wear, but still look fantastic.
For a car in this price range, I think it’s a fantastic vehicle. Most of the major mechanical work has been done or addressed, There’s OVER $20k invested in this car, and I have all the receipts to show it.
Overall, I’d give this car an 8/10. Exterior has some wear, but still has that sparkling blue look that turns heads! Interior is all original but with the addition of the A/C, aftermarket radio, speakers, steering wheel, and dash.
