Ford F-100 1961 Description

For sale Is our 1961 ford unibody truck. We have owned this truck for almost four years . I purchased it from the original owners grandson in Missouri . The truck still has the original bill of sale and warranty papers and owners manual . The drivetrain has been upgraded from front to back starting with a Chevrolet nova front stub using 2in drop tubed a arms 2 in drop spindles new coil springs all urethane bushings new ball joints and power disc brakes with stainless steel braded lines . The engine is a rebuilt 350 four bolt main block bored 30 over with flat top pistons large ca, header, edelbrock intake and water pum, electronic ignitio, and gear drive timing . The tran, is a 350 turb, the rearend is a ford 8 in with 279 gears .The truck sounds awesome . runs 2000 rpm,s at 55 mph and cruises real nice. there is a new champion radiator with a thermostat controlled electric fan for trouble free driving even on the hottest days . We moved the front wheels forward 1.5 inches so they fit the hook of the wheel well better . The back wheels also have been moved forward 1.25 inches to fit those wheel wells. To me these trucks always looked like somebody slammed the brakes on and the body slid forward on the fram, maybe I'm weird but oh well . The frame has been c noched over the rear axel for clearance and has all new shocks .The rear seals bearings and brakes have been replaced along with the brake lines. The body was in good shape when I purchased it . The front cab mounts were ba, pretty common on these trucks . I decided to replace the cab mounts, floor pan, rocker panel, and step plates . These all weld together in these trucks and by replacing them all it makes the best repair . I purchased all these parts from Carolina classics they are by far the best parts money can buy . Then I sanded the truck to bare metal filled all the factory spot welds primed and blocked the truck several times using urethane primer then painted the truck using hot rod flats single stage urethane . I caught crap from my friends for going to all the trouble and work to make the body perfect and then paint it satin . The interior has the original seat I stripped the frame and painted it black then sent it to the upholsterer they did a beautiful job and also addedextra padding for a firm ride . The truck has new carpe, headline, sunvisors new rear view mirror all window rubber, fussie, front and rear window seals. The outside mirrors are also new . The tires are new from coker classics and the wheels are wheel vintiques with spider center caps .
