Ford Bronco 1983 Description

This listing is for a 1983 Ford Bronco XLT Lariat. This truck is an on-going project, but it runs well enough for me to use as a second vehicle 3-4 times per week. It's had over $3000 in parts/work over the past 2 years. Drives straight with all new suspension. This is an Arizona Ford Bronco all its life without any rust issues.
I've owned this Bronco for about 9 months. I had plans to fully restore it but with my schedule, I realize that I don't have the time. We share one car in the household and this Bronco has served as by backup daily driver for running errands around Phoenix/Scottsdale.
Engine/Mechanical/Steering/Suspension (all parts listed as new have been installed in the past 9 months & come with receipts unless otherwise noted):
-4.9L/300 In-Line 6-Cylinder, Auto Transmission
-There is very minimal oil seepage but not enough to actually drip after being parked
-Car starts easily and does not stall
-Drives straight
-4x4 works
-It will not pass Smog/Emissions
-New Edelbrock carburetor installed about a year ago by previous owner - approx $400
-New battery
-New Powermaster 150 amp alternator - $193
-New spark plugs, wires, distributor, installed about a year ago by previous owner
-New water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing & gasket
-New hoses and lines
-New dual electric cooling fans - $297
-New engine mounts transmission mount
-New tie rod ends, new ball joints, all new front suspension bushings everywhere (every bushing has been replaced on the front end) cost over $600 w/labor
-New front coils, new Rancho 5000 shocks all around
-Two new wheel bearings
-New front rotors and brake pads
-Passenger-side rear brake is missing. Meaning the truck currently runs with 3 brakes and brake line is pinched off. It's worked out fine so far but should probably be fixed by new owner. Parking brake does not work.
-All new fluids
Body (please view YouTube videos for detailed walk through):
-Car looks great from 100 feet away
-Has dings, peeling paint, damage to driver door
-Missing exterior trim on driver-side
-No hard-top (I've seen people giving them away for free on Craigslist)
-Has a professionally installed soft-top. Has some small rips near tailgate. Being able to remove the window portions, makes driving this truck really fun in nice weather.
-Bought new body mounts, some of them have been installed, the rest will come with the truck
-New Black Daytona Wheels from LMC Truck installed about 2 years ago. Have about 3k miles on them. $89.95 each on LMCTruck.com.
-New 31" BFGs installed about 2 years ago. Have about 3k miles on them.
-New headlights and taillights
Interior (video coming soon):
-Ignition cylinder is broken on steering column. Meaning you have to start the car by sliding a rod (not sure what it's called) down steering column and then use an installed push-button to start it. Easy to do. Because of this no key is needed to start the car.
-Has the split bench in the front and bench in the back allowing seating for 6. Currently only driver, passenger, and rear-center seatbelts work. This means you only have seatbelts for 3 at this time.
-I would say that everything should be replaced on the interior. Seats have rips. Headliner has rips. Carpet is really old. Dash has cracks.
-$700 Kenwood stereo was installed by previous owner about 2-3 years ago. Very poor quality installation. Stereo has fallen into the dash. CD player and radio seem to work ok. New speakers in front doors.
-Grant Steering wheel.
-Door panels were replaced with ones from LMCTruck.com but have some scuffs. They are structurally sound but have scratches and should be refurbished.
-Speedometer and odometer don't work; other gauges work
-Heater & AC don't work. New heater-core was installed but it's bypassed because mechanic didn't have correct hose. Forgot to go back and get hoses installed.
-Driver window rolls down on its own because of damage to driver door; passenger window is closed but stuck off-track; rear-tailgate window works.
About this Bronco:
-Clean title. Carfax shows car was purchased new in AZ in 1983. Had one accident in the 1990s.
-Odometer shows 3,xxx miles. It has obviously rolled over. Title shows 127,000 miles.
