If you want the perfect combination of performance, handling, reliability, power, and neck-snapping looks, then your search is over! This amazing machine is a recently completed project designed and built by a World-renown professional drift racing team for pure fun and enjoyment, and the truck delivers both in spades. The patina body is from a real F-5, and you get a folder full of pictures of when the original truck was found! Get past the patina and purposefully made dents and damage, and you'll see a surprisingly solid cab, hood, front fenders, and running boards that was perfectly aged and matched to a Chevy 3100 bed box and rear fenders. Shop lettering on the side doors is one-shot, and can be removed easily if you wanted to. Custom fabricated exhaust system is routed through the rear fenders via custom cut-outs. Glass is clean and crack/chip free, and is one piece now, although the original side panels are included if you wanted to go back to a vent window set-up one day. Rubber and seals are all good, and were replaced during the build. Exterior trim has either been powder-coated, painted, or Line-X coated in black, save for the front hood trim which is original aged chrome. STR provided the 601 Series 18" Racing Wheels on the truck in gold with polished machine lip, and thy show like new on all four corners. They are wrapped in aggressive 275/45-ZR18 NITTO radials in back, with matching 275/40-ZR18's up front. The tires have about 600 miles on them, and have at least 80% of the functional tread life remaining. Slotted and cross-drilled disc brakes are mounted up front, while drums handle the rear. Bed wood is solid and strong, and aged like the rest of the truck for appearance. The tubs were custom-made for the truck and allow room for the bed to lay out over the notched chassis. New poly fuel tank was installed in the bed, to make room for people in the cab. Tubs, bed inners, and the tank are all Line-X coated for protection. Open the doors, and the cab is clean and finished nicely, but was built for use, not trophy collecting. The whole inside of the cab was coated in LINE-X before assembly. Doors got fabric inner panels that match the seat, and original window rollers and door pulls look great and work perfectly. Billet milled gauge insert panel is fit with a full set of STEWART WARNER gauges to monitor vitals, including OIL PRESSURE, WATER TEMP, VOLTS, and FUEL level. They all work and appear to be calibrated correctly. Speedometer/Odometer were not hooked up because they needed a cable for it. By the time the truck was finished, they just started driving it, and didn't install one on it. A new chrome tilt steering column was installed, and got topped with a wood-rimmed 3 spoke wheel that looks great in the truck. Chrome shift arm for the Muncie 4-speed was pulled off a shelf, topped with a cue ball knob, and looks old but works perfectly. An original F-5 instruction placard was left on the dash for fun, and a flip switch panel was installed to control the assorted electrical items on the truck. Some are dead switches for future accessories, the heat and laser are actually horns, and no, we haven't touched the DO NOT TOUCH button yet. Carpeting is automotive grade and banded from firewall to rear. It was installed over a layer of dynamat, and looks to be in as-new condition. Gas, brake, and clutch pedals were all made for the truck from scrap metal from the fender cut outs and other things. They are strong, functional, and fit the truck perfectly. Headliner and rear wall liner are clean and neat, and show wonderfully. With the fuel cell relocated, there is a bit of behind the seat storage as well. Seat itself is a custom made bench seat with folding armrest and seat belts. It shows like new, is VERY comfortable, and allows people up to about 6' 4" ample room to drive, or ride, in comfort. Dual sun visors and a rear view mirror finish up the inside. Chassis is solid and clean original F-5 rails that were cut and C-notched for stance and lowering. Front suspension is tubular A-Arms with coil-overs, while the rear gets a custom set-up with adjustable shocks and STRANGE externally adjustable coil-overs out back with a triangulated 4-link and sealed 10-bolt with 3.73 POSI rear end. A new MUSTANG II style power steering rack is installed up front, and makes driving a breeze at all speeds. Engine is a block out build on a 350ci GM block that casting numbers show to be anything from a Chevelle to an 85 truck. No pad numbers, so your guess is as good as mine. I do know that it was cleaned, stripped, and built from scratch to be a reliable long-haul capable engine that still brings plenty off power for shenanigans and fun when you want it. It is dressed with the right amount of pretty shiny stuff to make you proud at a car show, but most of the money wen to stuff you can't see. A mild cam gives a lopey rumble, it fires up with the turn of the key, and has no odd tendencies or issues that I know of. I have personally driven it about 75-100 miles since buying it, and find it to be an absolute HOOT to take for a spin! Power is strong and sure in all gears, it'll smoke the tires like Cheech would smoke a bong, and it sounds freaking amazing while doing it! It handles like a slot car, and has practically ZERO body roll, while still maintaining a nice, comfy ride on longer trips, and not jarring your teeth out on bumps. Steering is like an extension of your arms, and it has no slop or excessive play. Braking is so good, you 'll put yourself into the windshield if you are not paying attention. This thing stops perfectly, and has no wobble, pull, or excessive modulation. It tracks straight, and goes as good at a GPS verified 75mph as it does at 20 in a parking lot.
