BEAUTIFUL 1950 CUSTOM DELUXE...

  • PEOPLE'S CHOICE WINNER...trophy included as shown
  • Second year for the iconic new Postwar "Shoebox" Ford
  • Rebuilt 1953 Ford V8 runs smooth
  • Rebuilt clutch
  • 3.32 Rear - great for cruising
  • Extensive new wiring
  • Nice driveability - runs cool
VIN (H0CH168646) DECODER: H=L6 226-1v engine, 0=1950 model year, CH=Chicago assembly plant, 168646=production sequence number
BACKGROUND: Ford was the first of the "Big Three" auto companies to introduce an all-new design in 1949, which carried through to 1950 and 1951. Affectionately called the "Shoebox Ford", it literally saved Ford Motor Company and proved to be a trendsetter with its streamlined design - soon adopted by the entire industry.
  • PEOPLE'S CHOICE WINNER...this car has been very popular in the Chamblee/Atlanta show-circuit area
  • A GREAT "DRIVER" CLASS CAR: Parked by the home shown at left (also built in 1950!) it's like a trip back in time to see this handsome car gleaming in the driveway. It is also a surprisingly smooth boulevard cruiser...impressive for a 67-year old classic. As a "driver" it is sharp...but with many cosmetic imperfections vs. a high-end "frame-off" restoration. There is what many would consider an endearing "patina" of respectful and nearly 7-decades-long use...including a crack in the passenger's side vent window (shown in the picture strip).
LOCATION: Chamblee, GA is located approximately 13-miles northeast of Atlanta.

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT - the best cars of the 1950s have been "Blue Chip" investments for decades, and will continue to be. The 1950 Ford came in the middle of the famed "Shoebox" years of 1949-1951 which was Ford's first "big win" of the Postwar years and which led to decades of robust Ford industry innovation and leadership.

THE FIRST 12 PICTURES will give you a general overview of this handsome '50 Ford, but if you are seriously interested...we suggest that you look at ALL 100+ images because we want you to see EVERYTHING.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING...TO SEE ALL THE IMAGES: There are over 100 images that will show the car in great detail. BUT, to see ALL of the images, you MUST place your cursor DIRECTLY ON an image...and then scroll gently ALL the way to the bottom (be sure to allow time for all the images to load). CAUTION: If you use the scroll bar to the FAR right of your screen - OR, the "Click to View Image Album" feature - you will NOT be able to see all the images!
Over 2,800 TRANSACTIONS WITH HAPPY PEOPLE! As of the date of this listing, we've had over 2,800 transactions (both Buying and Selling) on eBay without a single complaint. One of the keys to our success is to show larger and more images than almost any other eBay listing...so you can clearly see what you are getting. We also give a very detailed description of the car...not just a couple sentences like many listings.

EXTRAS...see trunk images...there are many "extras" included with the car, such as Engine Paint, People's Choice Trophy, replacement Hood Ornament, Service Manuals, etc.

QUESTIONS?...after reviewing ALL the images and reading the entire description, please call Jim Murphy if you have any questions: 706-429-7924

OPERATIONAL REPORT: The car is a joy to drive - the restored engine performs very smoothly. It's "thumbs up" wherever you go, and brings a lot of smiles. The radio, clock, and wipers are not operational. The wipers have been "coaxed" into working with a bit of compressed air and WD-40, but should really be replaced/repaired for reliable operation.

ODOMETER NOTE...the actual mileage of the car (since new) cannot be determined with accuracy due to the odometer's design limitations.

PAYMENT DETAILS: Payment is due within 2- business days of auction's end via Bank to Bank wire transfer.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS are welcome, but MUST adhere to the SAME Payment Terms detailed above and also make all arrangements for the pick-up and importation of the Vehicle into the Buyer's country.
ABOUT ME: I am an avid Classic Car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of Sales & Marketing in a Global 100 company, I began buying and selling Classic Cars and Collectibles as a collector and for friends and clients. This 1950 Ford belongs to a fellow classic car enthusiast.
Please Note: as of this date, we have had over 2,800 eBay transactions with 100% Positive Feedback...this includes the sale of many Classic Cars to Buyers all over the world, including Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Australia, Russia, Canada, Japan and throughout the United States.
IMPORTANT DOCUMENT REMARKS: A Bill of Sale and the Vehicle Registration will be provided to the Buyer. NOTE: the State of Georgia did not issue auto titles back in 1950 - and so they do not do so for those cars even today! Instead, the registration card has a "Non-Title" notation and also serves as the owners legal proof of ownership. Rest assured that every state must respect all other state's motor vehicle laws, and that the car can be successfully registered and insured in any state.

This Vehicle is sold strictly as-shown and on a final as-is basis without any warranties expressed or implied due to age. All classic cars (even the most expensive) will require continual maintenance, service, and repair - often without warning. We have presented the car accurately to the best of our ability, but oversights are possible. Therefore - before the auction's end - bidders are welcome to examine the vehicle in person. All sales are final.

Please be sure to review ALL the images and ALL the captions because they relate important information too!
