Ford WOODIE WAGON 1940 Description

1940 FORD DELUXE WOODIE -

1940 Ford Deluxe Woodie-If you are looking for a Woodie that checks all the boxes and a few that have not been written, this may be your car:

A 1940 Deluxe Woodie is one of the most desirable cars on the planet. Start with a strong foundation. A Lobeck chassis with all stainless components- a Ford DOHC 32 valve 4.6 engine crate motor- 4R70W electronic trans, all controlled and shifted thru the Ford ECU (this means serviceable at any Ford dealer). A stout Ford 9”rear with 4:10 John’s rear axle, all stainless exhaust plus brake and fuel lines, and of course 4 wheel disc and coil overs all around.

We move to the custom body of Ash and striped Mahogany. And by custom I mean many improvements in hardware and design features- custom 2 tone leather by Rick at Vintage Auto Trim- add a Dakota Digital dash- vintage air- cruise control- secret audio. Add a few touches, like a custom Day/Night surf board rear view mirror, custom speaker enclosures and a fold out picnic table w/umbrella.

This car is finished in a single stage PPG maroon- all wood is sealed with a PPG clear urethane- add all original 40 Deluxe trim and some custom LED brake lighting and this rounds out the look with steel deluxe wheels and Diamond Back BFG radials.

Now the facts, this car has won national and local awards where ever it goes and it does that with it able to run at 75 with the cruise and air blasting. Stops, steers, and handles better than you can imagine, with no heating-up, drips, or other typical Hot Rod problems.

Priced well less than replacement cost at $195K – May consider part trade muscle car or C2 Corvette.
