The current owner bought this car from a man in California who had the interior removed and had been repainted 19 years ago. The factory installed 289 was restored to running condition, e sealed and re installed. The transmission was also removed re sealed and re installed with a new clutch, ressure plate and the fly wheel was re surfaced. The brakes were rebuilt with new factory parts, ront disc and rear drum. The motor was not rebuilt as it was running good with the following compression test numbers. #1 142psi, 2 149 psi, 3 151 psi, 4 154 psi, 5 152 psi, 6152 psi, 7150psi, 8 151 psi. It has the original dual exhaust with trumpets and amazingly the oem mufflers dates 3/65 & 4/65 respectively. It has the rally pack clock and tachometer (works intermittently). It has dealer installed a/c restored to 134a, lso has a date code on the compressor. The interior was restored to OE Pony Premium interior, archment with Ivy gold appointments. It has new Ivy green carpet and the factory seat belts. The body panels are original with no rust problems. The fuel tank is new and has been replaced. The more that was found to be original on the car the more it was kept like it was. Here is an example, he drive shaft still had the factory balance markings so he clear coated over it vs painting it black.
