The Closing of "The Total Performance Era"
Ford's decade of "Total Performance" was drawing to a close in 1973. The performance banner was carried by the Mach 1 Mustang. The standard Engine for the Mach 1 was the 351 Cleveland V-8. A race-bred 351 Cleveland was developed with a radical solid-lifter cam and ram-air induction, nd came with a Hurst four-speed transmission and 3.25:1 Traction-Lok differential. This would be its only season as Ford performance would continue to decline.
Give a home to this last of a disappearing breed. This car is very close to 100% original. It is predicated to increase in value as we move further from the 1964-1973 Muscle Car Era! Above average car!!! NADA average retail: $42,255.
This car runs and drives perfectly!! It sounds amazing. It has a sanding mark on driver side roof (pictured) where the roof welds to the sail panel. It is very minor. The paint shines very well with only minor imperfections. The antenna is broken as the car cover was snagged on it. The interior is in immaculate shape. This Mustang has no power brakes or power steering. The brakes are 4 wheel drum style. Rounding out the exterior is a set of American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with new BF Goodrich Radial tires. These Mustangs are gaining a lot of popularity lately and they are sky rocketing in price. Get one now while they are affordable. Please see the attached photos as this car is a very nice RUST FREE example of the Mach 1 Mustang. The floorboards and frame are in great shape as well. If you have questions, lease ask them prior to bidding. I have been dealing in classic cars for many years and this is one of the nicest examples of a classic car I have seen in a while. This car is sold as-is. I also have the car listed for sale locally so it may sell locally if the reserve is not met. The car is located in Hebron, Y next to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern KY International Airport.
