Ford Mustang 1990 Description

This is a 1990 (25th Anniversary) Black on Black Hatchback. I purchased this car a few years back and the car only gets driven once per week, and sits in my garage.
I have had several of these cars, but none in the past 15 years. This is the only one I could find that was as original unmolested and as I wanted. Most are butchered, broken or raced.
The car is such a pleasure to drive, but needs to be driven daily and enjoyed. I will give a complete description of the car, but I would drive this car ANYWHERE - anytime, and not embarrassed about any part of the car as it is a great example of an original fox body survivor.
I, personally do NOT like surprises, therefore, I will describe the car to the best of my ability in the 3 categories below. Sorry if it gets too detailed. All parts (that I am aware of) that are NOT original and/or been replaced are noted in the narrative.
Mechanical:
Car stops, idles and runs out VERY smooth. I don't believe the car was ever raced or abused or modified. The car has the original power that I was used to when I bought my 93 new. No smoke, no sluggish power band, no vibration, no noise. Car rides solid and tight (NEW Koni shocks 200 miles ago). All accessories and options are in tact including the Cold A/C.
Everything works on the car with the exception of the gas gauge. I filled the car last week and the fuel needle fell to "E". Not sure why, maybe it will lift when the gas level falls. Also, the speedometer needle bounces from 0-40MPH and then steadies after. I am including a new speedo cable, cable grommet and a new cable ratio "white"gear (pictured). This gear is the correct gear for the rear end. (The previous owner had the dealer change the ring and pinion because of a whine. They didn't have the stock 3.08 gear, but had a 3.55 gear on the shelf that they added). This changes the MPH displayed and the white cable gear will correct this. The stock shifter was sloppy from worn rubber bushings. I replaced it with a "Pro-5.0"? shifter, a SOLID shift lever, and Ford Racing leather shift knob. This made shifting very tight and crisp. My wife thinks its louder, but I like the feel of it. The "Low Coolant" light blinked on and off Friday, so I had it pressure checked. There was a pinhole in the (original) radiator. I had it replaced along with a new thermostat and system flush. The tires have less than 3K miles, with perfect alignment and tight ride.
Interior:
The interior is excellent and clean for being original equipment. The black tweed cloth is still in great shape with no tears or rips. the carpet is just as nice. All features are in tact and work correctly INCLUDING the original console ash tray cover. The tired map pockets on the lower door panels and the visors could use some attention. The steering wheel and dash are perfect. with no broken or cracked areas. The wheel has NO wear spots in the grip. In fact, it is still clean, and soft leather. Most are shinny with oil and hard as plastic. I added a Pioneer stereo last year at Best Buy. I had them also add new Pioneer speakers in all 6 factory locations. I also had them add a Viper Alarm. The rear luggage cover is NOT in the car as I purchased it as such. The drivers door weather strip has a 1" tear in the very bottom. The floor mats are matching black, and fit well, but do not appear original. The glass is clear and unscratched. Does not appear to have ever had film tint. NO leaks or road noise at ANY window
Exterior:
As you can tell from the pictures, the body panels and lines are laser straight. The doors, hatch and hood open and shut tight and solid. The side molding is still original satin black with NO yellowing or tears. There are NO dent or dings in the car. (Reportedly) the car WAS repainted aprox. 10 years ago. The paint is still shiny and beads water well when washed. I give it a fair - 8 or 9 out of 10 from 10 feet away. I do see some blemished spots that need polish. The wheels are from a 91-93 5.0 in 16". They were refinished as factory and have NO blemishes or curbing rash, and are PERFECT. ALL the plastic and aluminum window trim is straight with no dings and no fading. The rear quarter window trim is still solid and shiny and does not appear to have ever been restored, and look incredible. The car was originally a northern car and had the dealer installed "Rust-Proof" treatment where they drill holes all through the panels and underside to spray rust deterrent all over including the engine compartment. There IS some paint blister starting on the wheel wells, the passenger rocker corner, and a spot over the drivers side A pillar.
If I missed anything, feel free to ask questions. I try to answer every 48 hours, but travel much of the week, so ask your questions early. Car is available for inspection by appointment only. I reserve the right to end the auction early. The car is sold AS-IS and WHERE-IS. I have the clear title in hand. A $500.00 deposit is due through Paypal within 48 hours of the auction end. The balance will need to paid within seven (7) days of auction end by cash or certified funds. Car and Title will stay in hand until full balance in CLEARED. Once certified funds are CLEARED, I can mail the signed title by FedEx per the buyer's request. Car must be picked up by buyer or buyer's hired transport no more than 10 days after auction close. After that we can arrange storage cost paid by buyer. I can help meet transport with fair notice.

Forgot to mention- Added a fan clutch last week when they put in the radiator.... I just don't trust a 26 year old original fan clutch, and while they were doing the work it was worth the additional cost. Also, added a new battery in February.

NOTE:Ebay "VIN check" above the description- shows a "Minor Issue" with the odometer... This is only because the odometer does not have a 6th numeral. The car (look at the check history) obviously has 127k miles, but the odometer can only register upto 99,999 before it reverts back to 0. The odometer currently reads 27, 217 miles at the time this was writen. Not sure why they highlight this, but 127,217 miles are correct as I stated in the description. Also, the Title lien "alert" showing on their check was due to a CLEARED lien registered years ago and paid off LONG before I bought the car. I have a COMPLETELY CLEAR title in my hand with NO liens listed.
