Mercury Other 1940 Description
1940 Mercury Convertible
This is a true barn find, aving been stored indoors on a concrete floor since 1971. I do not think there is any part of the car where you could poke an ice pick through the metal. There is very minor surface corrosion where the factory paint was thin but it is probably the most rust-free original pre-war car you can find.
It is very original and quite complete, ut the following items are missing: One Bumper, ll the bumper brackets, he taillights, he radiator, he sheet metal grill center piece, ne hubcap, he correct spare wheel, he instruments, he wiper arms, nd the front parking light lenses, /p> There is a spare dash panel, sheet metal transmission covers, clocks, nd a pair of radio antenna controls. Please contact me if you’d like close up photos of any part of the car that does not show in photos, r if you would like an honest discription of any detail. 1971 California license plates, nd clear title without any back fees. Located about an hour north of San Francisco.
