1969 Cyclone Spoiler IICale Yarborough Special

1 of 353 Cyclone Spoiler II Aero Nose Cars ProducedCale Yarboroughs were only sold East of the MississippiNumbers Matching 351W 4V EngineFactory Power Steering & Front Disc BrakesSuper Rare Opportunity! We LOVE these Aero Nose Fords. One of the owners here drives a West Coast version the Dan Gurney Special Cyclone daily in the summer. With only 353 of these Aero Nose cars produced (split between the Cale Yarborough and the Dan Gurney editions) this is a VERY rare car. There is a registry for these rare cars but nobody truly knows how many have survived. Oddly Fords & Mercurys have lagged behind the Mopar Aero cars even though they dominated the 1969 NASCAR race series. One day soon the market will correct sending these cars into the six figure price range. This Cale Yarborough is a rare opportunity as it has been largely left original. The impossible to find grill bracing hand fabricated fenders one off front bumper and specially rolled rockers are all present. If you are looking for one of these rare cars to restore this is likely the only one you will find with its original aero nose components. There is some rust in the car as it spent its early life on the East Coast. An accident early in life required that the passenger rear quarter was replaced with a complete original quarter from another car. There is some rust in the front torque boxes just behind the front wheels and some rust in the rear quarters just behind the tires. Overall this is a very worthy car structurally.Mechanically the car is still very original. A true testament to how well these cars were built the original engine runs excellent transmission works properly heater works wiper works etc.Inside the interior is complete but shows some of the wear for a 46 year old un-restored car. There are the obvious splits in the seat but the dash looks good and the original trim panels appear to all be present. For a restoration candidate this one is very good.Need more questions answered?
