Mercury Comet 1977 Description

This is a very nice 77 Mercury Comet, ousin to the Ford Maverick. I don't know the complete histor, ut here is what i was told by the gentleman i purchased the car from. The car had been in climate controlled storage for about 15 years prior to me purchasing in Feb. 2014. When he purchased the car, hese are the things he did immediately; 1. replaced water pump, . replaced tires including spare, .changed the oil and filter, . rebuilt carburator, . replaced fuel pump, . replaced fuel sending unit, . replaced spark plugs, lso the brake pads and shoes were basicly new. Here is what i have done over the last 16 months; 1. set timing, . installed duel exhaust ( Mustang mufflers ) 3. reworked balance of brake system including master cylinder, ooster unit, ower cylinder and related hoses. 4. replaced transmission pan, . refurbished wheels. the car is now very solid, rives and looks great. The car was repainted way back there but looks really good with few exceptions. The engine is very strong with no noises or leaks. I have driventhe car on a 250 mile trip with no problems. It does not use oil or smoke.It fires every time with no exceptions. All the lights and the radio are working. The transmission shifts perfectly. It is quick and fast and sounds really great but not excessively loud. I have driven the car less than 1,000 miles over the last 16 months. The car deserves to be taken to the next level but unfortunately i have moved and have no room to properly store the car so it must go. any questions, lease call 229-848-2867, arry
