This car is currently an occasional daily-driver. Has been very reliable, even more so than some of my other modern vehicles. It IS barn kept. You will not find a model like this again. Very nice driver and smooth on the freeway.
INTERIOR - All original. One tear in the driver's seat that is along the stitch line. Passengers right side kick panel broken and missing. See pictures. The headliner is intact and tight, no tears. Missing Drivers Sun Visor. Has a CD player and radio mounted ol' school style hanging under the ashtray with Kicker rear speakers installed. Sounds great!
EXTERIOR - Has the patina of a 1967 vehicle. Original polar white paint. Driver side mirror is vintage but not Original to this model. See Pictures. The windshield appears original and has one star strike, above the review mirror to the right a bit and is not growing and slightly smaller than a dime. It's not even noticeable, because it's in the tinted area. There is a minor crease forward of the gas fill door where somebody apparently backed the car with gas door open and hyper extended the door into the body. This car was built in LA and has been a West Coast car for the duration of it's life. Lower panels and floor boards are in great shape.
ORIGINAL Ford 4.7L 289 2V Motor - Transmission has been rebuilt approx 5-6 years ago and changes gears smooth as silk. Fluid is clean. Engine is strong and reliable. Odometer reads 30,~K miles but because of age actual mileage on the vehicle is not determinable.
The story I was given was that the owners of the vehicle passed away and the car sat in a garage for some time; those folks had the transmission rebuilt. Then it was passed on to the person I bought it from, which was two years ago.
It is clear that the transmission has been rebuilt by the smoothness of operation, cleanliness of fluids and otherwise clean condition of the unit.
The motor is all ORIGINAL - it looks like it should and runs very strong. I have taken it from Sacramento over to Carson City NV several times, never an issue. This is a highway car and is very smooth on the road for it's age.
All 4 tires are approx 80% new - White wall stripes out. At recent new tire installation, car had steering wheel and front end aligned. DRIVES STRAIGHT and SMOOTH
Ready to be your daily driver or very reliable back up vehicle.
I have replaced many of the front end suspension items and other motor parts:
Front Ball Joints upper and lower
New lower control arms
Tie rods
Front shocks
Rear Air shocks
Stabilizer Bar Bushings
Power steering Cylinder
The windshield Wiper Motor and Washer Pump
Radiator - Thermostat - Hoses
Belts
Fuel gauge INOP - Has an aftermarket water temp gauge mounted under driver dash.
Vehicle is available for pick-up in Auburn, CA or Sacramento, CA
THIS awesome classic ride is only being sold because LIFE got in the way and I need to Sell-OFF several of my projects.
Happy Bidding -
