Mercury Comet 1964 Description

This is a 1964 Mercury Comet 202, door. All of the front suspension was removed and replaced with a 1950's ford i-beam drop axle with leaf springs. The front is equipped with gm disc brakes on speedway spindles and topped off withHurst Line Loc. The rear axle is a disc brake ford 9" out of a LincolnVersailles, t is equipped with a nodular third member with new 4.86 gears and 28 spline spool and air shocks. The rear fenders have been stretched forward 4 inches to allow for taller tires. Wheels are original vintage aluminum 5x4.5 lug Cragar Super Tricks, ront wheels are 15x3 and rear wheels are 15x10 the car was geared for 29" tall tires however the current tires are only 26" tall. The engine is a 13:1 compression. 332 cubic inch small block chevy, hich is a fully studded .030" over 350 block, 27 small journal forged crank, luminum Howards rods, nd Aries dome top pistons. Original fresh rebuilt iron 4011034 GM Bowtie Race heads with Competition Cams 1.50" springs and 2.05"-1.60" stainless valves, olished 185cc runners and 64cc chambers. On top is a vintage Holley street dominator intake and 750 cfm Holley Double pumper. Ignition is a billet magneticdistributorand MSD 6AL ignition box. Has a trunk mounted battery box, 0 gallon fuel cell and electric pump is mounted underneath along with master power switch.
