Oldsmobile Cutlass 1963 Description

1963 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 Convertible top

Beautiful Cutlass F-85 convertible. The 1963 model is very rare as it only ran a few years.

Exterior:This is in very good cosmeticcondition. Car had just been painted when we acquired about a year ago. Please see the pics. The

convertible top needs to be replaced. But is functioning. It has rips/tears. We always kept car in garage with top down and boot. As we only

tookout on sunny days.

Interior: Very nice considering age, but not a show vehicle. The dash has rips (seen in pics), The interior door panels look decent and is all

original, but shows wear typical for age. All the chrome looks very good. There are no tears in seats, but the passenger seat has stains.

All original heat controls, radio steering wheel, emblems, sun visors (butdon't look great),handles, locks, vents, etc. The carpet on floor has recently

been replaced by a friend. And it was not done very well. As the carpet ends to short, as shown in pic by floor mat, and not tight. Someone that

how to put carpet in could prob use same carpet. The passenger seat is only partially secured, as we were going to have actual shop redo the

carpet. Its about a $400-$600 job to have it done right. But instead we are selling, so never took it in.

Drive-train: Motor runs excellent, and transmission shifts great. We have to crank it a few times to start it half the time, other half starts right up.

But ALWAYS starts. Engine sounds great. We had just purchased new distributor cap, plug wires, fuel pump and alternator. We still have all the

parts and will be included with car. We may eventually have mechanic install prior to sell but will update if we do. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG

WITH THE PARTS CURRENTLY ON CAR. We just purchased new colorful parts to make under hood look nice. Blue, red and chrome.

Other mechanical: Horn works, headlights work, wipers work, heat works, convertible top works, good

alignment, tires are close to new plenty of tread, signals will need repair, brakes are a little slow. Not had

this looked at, and we have driven it as is around town and nearby cities, but if going long distance and at

high speeds, It should be hauled on trailer. Also, battery has a slow drain. It will drain battery if sits for a

day or so. We unplugged battery when not using. It does not drain within a few hours just long periods.

General Information: We have described best of our ability. We our not mechanics. Is sold as is. It is a beautiful car and always gets comments

stares, and questions. It is such a rare model, people never guess correctly what type car it is, always asking what kind. Looks even better in

person, in my opinion. The last few pics we show of the dark blue car is also being sold local, but for more $. However, we are ONLY selling

one or the other, as soon as one sells, we are taking other off market. We had a his/hers convertible, but now just one will be an ours. We just

don't have room for both. This one is currently in storage unit.. Feel free to make offer. Or if serious buyercome see it.
