Oldsmobile Cutlass 1963 Description

This is a strong running, ut cosmetically challenged, 963 Oldsmobile F85 convertible with Cutlass trim. I ran across this while looking at another car about a month ago and bought it because it was a good price for a good runner. Other projects need to get finished and I need to free up some cash (and space) to do that, o this one is getting passed on to someone who can enjoy it. It's not currently the prettiest Olds convertible that you'll ever come across, ut it is a lot of fun to drive (I drove it home about 60 miles and ran it at about 65 most of the way).
The good -- It starts right up and runs like a top- It has the original (and fairly rare) all-aluminum engine in it- The seats are in very nice shape- The mechanical top functions exactly as it should- It comes with an extra set of practically new tires (5 of 'em) and a nice set of extra hubcaps- most of the hard to find parts are there and in good/great shape (air cleaner, rille, tc)
The bad -- It has rusty body panels (see the pictures... I've offered closeups of the worst spots)- The trunk has some rust as do the door sills (and hood and trunk)- The top is ripped and rear window plastic is gone- The brakes need work... like they are really bad.... don't know exactly what they need, ut they need attention before this is driven again- The carpet and dash are pretty sun-baked, aded, nd generally rough- The back bumper is pretty rough as well
And now for all the legal stuff! As you might expect of a 53 year old vehicle, his little convertible is being sold as-is, here is with no warranty expressed or implied. Shipping or pickup is the responsibility of the buyer, lthough I will do my best to work with your shipper in order to get it on it's way to you as easy as possible.
That's the scoop on this little diamond in the rough. If you check the "completed listings", ou'll see that these don't come up very frequently on Ebay. I'd also encourage anyone who was interested to check out the various value guides (Haggerty, ADA, BB) and see what this is worth. If you'd like a fun little convertible with an awesome engine without the pricetag of a luxury or muscle convertible of the era, his might be just the car for you!
Please contact me with any questions or requests prior to bidding.
Oh, nd it has a period correct, ccessory tissue holder mounted under the dash on the passenger side as well... pretty cool.
