Pontiac Firebird 1970 Description

Project car for father and son bonding time. We did not get too far. We sanded the paint off the car, and started to take apart the interior. This vehicle has been sitting in garage for the last 5 years. Car was running, and only known issue was the rear wiring harness was worn and and no lights to the rear. We did not touch the engine. I have not started the car in 5 years. All the parts we took off we placed in boxes.
Some rust, dings and bonda on the body. Prior owner painted interior rear panels black. Prior owner noted that he rebuilt the engine but have no proof. Not sure if this the original engine listed above or true mileage. Transition was replaced. Shifts on steering wheel column and not on the console shifter. Front grill was slightly bent. Looks like it was in a fender bender previously. Carpet removed. Needs a new exterior and interior makeover. Front windshield cracked.Not a task I can handle.
I have very limited knowledge of cars. I gave it a shot, and hoping somebody can enjoy restoring the vehicle.
Buyer will be responsible for picking up the vehicle and helping me get it out of the garage.
