Pontiac GTO 1971 Description

1971 Pontiac G. T. O. clone. Tempest body titled lemans title is clean and clear. gto fenders. hood and endrua bumper. fenders had the gto decals before it got sanded but not sure if they were original or someone stuck them there . Motor is supposed to be out of the 71 gto that the front clip came from. its a 400 with 96 heads and turbo 400. Turns over by hand but havnt started it yet i havnt had the time to get the plug wires. starter. fuel pump. and hook up the front harness. body is fair there is bondo on the passengers door and fender from some one before the core support has rust around the bolt hole causing it to not to bolt up right . the hood being the worst part it has holes from sitting upside down holding water. needs patch panels in rear quarter and some front fender behind the tires core support will also need some patch work. floors and trunk are surprisingly nice with an exception of one spot in the floor behind the drivers seat location. it is a project car will need a full on restoration or custom. all windows are good. i found and saved this Pontiac before it got cut up for chevys. I would have finished it but i have to many projects going right no. what you see in the pics is all i have for the car. The hood looked like at some point it was laid up side down and had the worst points of rust. Car will need to be sanded down and everything taken care of. i sanded it down and got all the surface rust i could get out and shot it with some primer just to cover the metal until i could get to it. passengers side door had some filler from a previous body job. some dents on it here and there but over all a good start for a G. T. O clone i havnt gotten into this car so i dont know what else is hiding in it. car rolls easy so rear end isnt locked up missing to beauty rings and two center caps no hood hinges or drive shaft. endrua bumper has some cracks
