Pontiac Tempest 1965 Description

Up for bid is a 65 Pontiac Tempest Project. This is a NON RUNNING PROJECT. Brakes and Steers. No Transmission. The body is solid, as is the frame.Straight, Great Fenders and GTO Header Panels and Grills. The car comes with Nice Driver quality Bucket Seats, real nice rear seat new quarter door panels, most GTO Emblems. All Glass is Good, no cracks, chips. The Floors and trunk are solid...no see throughs. If there is any bondo it is skim coat for straightening...Inner fenders and core support good. All Window trim is there. Needs Tail lens's..and they are the Tempest style...but GTO ones are out there and available new also. This is not full of bondo. The Gray is just primer sprayed on spots that had surface rust and was painted to keep from rusting. Torq Thrust Style wheels, 14"X7, Automatic stickshift column. I do have a floor shift column for an extra fee. Engine was bought about 5 months ago from a Gentleman that had it in his 67 Firebird. He said it ran Great...but He wanted to go with an LS 3 Engine that He got a Great deal on...so He sold the 428 to raise the money to do so to Me. The Gentleman was very Credible. He said it had less then 1,000 miles on a Rebuild. I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER INFO ON THE ENGINE...but will promise that it is a good Engine.Taking the Valve Covers off it is clean and noticed it had Roller Tip Rockers. The Heads are 6X. The engine code is XF Date Code is A-02-9. Block Casting# 9792968. It is a Factory4 bolt main Engine. He had a Performer Intake on it, and I took it off and was going with the Performer RPM intake. Just needs bolted on. The Previous owner told me it would be a good idea to change the rear main seal while it was out as it leaked a little. I should have all the brackets, pulleys and Power steering Unit to go with it. I paid $2,000 for the engine, and $1,000 for the seats. Does have a Radio, but don't know if it works or not. This car is a Great solid project with most of it there...including the Great 428 engine. I also have the original 326 block if interested. I do not have a Title for it...I do have some paper work from the previous owner ( Calif. Car ) and I will provide a bill of sale also. There are many ways to attain a title also. If You have any questions or need pictures just ask. I am also willing to take offers for the car without the engine or seats wheels etc for a lower price on the car.The car is located in Tillamook Oregon 97141. Car must be paid to direct deposit into my bank or sent thru Paypal by Goint to the Paypal Site and send it as a Gift. DO NOT HIT THE PAYPAL PAYMENT ON EBAY I WILL NOT EXCEPT THE PAYMENT THAT WAY. IF YOUR GOING TO USE PAYPAL GO RIGHT TO THE PAYPAL SITE AND SEND AS A GIFT. Thanks...otherwise Ebay makes me wait up 21 days sometimes because I don't sell enough volume...don't ask me. The Car is located in Tillamook Oregon 97141. It can stay here for up to 3 months if You need time to get a transport here and will be in dry storage. I can help load when Transport comes. Payment must be made in full within 3 days of end of auction. Thanks again, and good luck!! This is a nice project...I just found a Convertible 65 that I want more....
