Pontiac GTO 1966 Description

Relisting this 1966 Pontiac GTO Hardtop complete with PHS documentation. This is a true GTO with the 6624217 code and came originally with a factory 4-Speed and Tri Power options. The PHS supplied window sticker says it came from Funk Pontiac-Olds in Newcomerstown, OH with a price tag of $3764.48. VIN # - 242176P179640 . It was redone in the a maroon color close to original based off the "N-N" code on the car tag. The engine is not original numbers matching but is period correct with the WS stamp and was built back to original including cam, heads and even exhaust manifolds instead of headers. 65,000 original miles. This car was bought originally to run the 1/4 mile so the actual miles is pretty low. Period correct WS stamped block built to stock with less than 250 miles on it. Engine built with period correct parts or authentic. 093 heads with correct stamped intake manifold, etc. Period correct Muncie transmission. Rebuilt Chevy 373 12-bolt Posi rear end. Original car came with a ¼ mile built 439 rear end which is long gone. When I bought it, it had 525 gears in the existing Chevy rear end that I had switched to 373. Complete nut & bolt rotisserie restoration. Everything has been taken apart, cleaned, refurbished, or replaced. Maintains original purchase with power drum brakes. There is a slight misalignment of the passenger side front fender which results in a gap between it and the hood that could be fixed or some say that it is not that bad. I can send you pics of that if desired.
I am not a gear head and did not do this restoration myself. I just like these cars and had this one done by the guys that know what they are doing. It is time to let it go for other life interests, so now is your opportunity to grab a spectacular true GTO. It needs a few tweaks, but is basically all done by the book. Potential buyers are encouraged to view this car in person. If you are considering spending this kind of money, you should personally inspect this car. It does sell as is with no written guarantee. I have the complete picture restoration history in a book that you can review during the visit. I also have a complete book of receipts that documents the actual cost of restore which is far more than the "Buy it Now" price. This is not a money maker for me. If you would like to see the car before bidding and are truly interested in buying this car, please contact me to set up a visit. I am 10 minutes from the Akron-Canton airport and an hour from the Cleveland airport, if you need to fly in. Obviously, we need to talk first and I will make my cell phone available to you, but email me first. Thanks for looking and good luck to you.
