Studebaker M15-28 1945 Description
You are bidding on a very rare 1945 postWWII Studebaker M15-28 one ton truck with original 1945 stake bed. They made 3297 M15 trucks for civilian use after the war in 1945. this particular truck has the "C9" military cab with swing out windshield, etal interior panels, nd paintable bumpers. It also has the original riveted together 1945 stake bed that came from the factory along with the roadside flare holder box on the drivers side of the frame (missing the outer door). The 28 designates it to be 128" wheelbase. It comes with the original wheels along with one spare. This truck has the 170 ci, 0-hp, -cylinder engine that is original to this truck. Title shows engine # to be 2M-2031 and that is what is still in this truck and yes it does run. As far asI can tell the engine has never been touched. The compression is good in all cylinders and starts right up. The original coil and key switch still runs the ignition. Truck still has all the under engine panels and are in excellent condition. The exhaust has been rerouted to come up thru the passenger fender and muffler mounted to cab. This kept the exhaust away from the wheat in the fields while doing harvest. This is probably the most original and unmolested M15 truck out there andhas the original Studebaker key. The tile is clear and dated June of 1948. The serial number is 2025 which by the Studebaker club says it was the 25th M15truck off the assembly line in 1945 for civilian use. The truck only has surface rust "patina" except for the lower rear cab corners which do have a little rust and will need repaired. The rest of the cab, loor, oors, oof, enders, tc.. are in great condition. Passenger fenderdoes have hole in it for exhaust. The front fenders do have a few dents but very easy to repair. The front grill has been pushed in a little and headlight bezels are cracked and broke, ut all the pieces are there to repair, enses are good. Please ask any questions you may have. If you need any more specific pictures, ust ask or if you want to see the video of the engine running. Thanks for looking!
