Studebaker Lark 1963 Description
The only one of its kind. Numbers matching 1963 Studebaker Lark Regal Wagonaire with a factory R1 engine and three speed column shift transmission. Sold new in Ukiah California and spent most of it's life there. Car is all original with genuine patina. I am the second titled owner, copy of original California pink slip available. Have a copy of the build order showing the car built and equipped the way it was found. This car is listed with the Jet Thrust Roster and productions come from the Studebaker Museum Monograph on Jet Thrust Larks and Hawks. Per a letter from the Studebaker Museum this is documented as only one of 50 Jet Thrust wagons of which only one was a column shift, further it is only 1 of 9 Lark Regal wagons produced with Jet Thrust power.
The car does run and drive. Extensive work has been done as follows:
Rebuilt radiator, Rebuilt Carburetor, Rebuilt brake system master cylinder, lines, shoes, wheel cylinders, new shocks, new water pump, new fuel pump, new battery, all new distributor parts, new battery, stainless dual exhaust system, rebuilt and sealed gas tank, resealed engine, resurfaced flywheel, new clutch pressure plate and disk, resealed transmission, new transmission input shaft. Hood is a NOS item as the original bent, does open with torsion bar supports in place.
Body condition as seen in the pictures, has had a patch panel put in the drivers side floor. Lower rearquarters are rusted at bottoms behind the wheels, tailgate is solid and so are the front fenders. Has holes near the drip molding in the passengers side from an antenna installation rust there is only surface otherwise. Interior needs complete redo.
New old stock parts included:
