Studebaker Lark Convertible 1960 Description

Up For Auction:

1960 Studebaker Lark Convertible. Nice Floors! Good Frame! Good sub-floor rocker boxes! BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR!

It is time to downsize the collection, I am NOT a dealer, just been the family hobby. This convertible is a great project and has always been stored inside. This car has a lovely interior, and a nice body – two things that are a hard to find combination in a ragtop.

Chrome is all SHINY on this car, including the door top/rear quarter pot metal moldings.

The seats, door panels, and dash are absolutely lovely.

The body has no rot holes, has nice floors, and nice trunk. The floors had a small 5 by 6 inch previously welded in patch nicely done about where you put your feet. There is no rot in the floor: no suspicious spots, no fiberglass, no tin & pop rivets, no soft spots. Floor is great! See photo. The sub-floor boxed in area to stiffen the body behind the rocker panels is good (most are long since rotted out). There is no rot in the rocker panels. Paint on the body is a 45+ year old repaint that has been touched up over the years. There is no bubbling, or cracking. There are nicks in the paint from storage and use. The paint could be touched up and used as is.

Frame is in excellent shape. There is no rot anywhere. There is no rust swelling in the pinch welds.

Car was originally six with manual trans. There is no engine or transmission, ready for driveline of your choice. Got an extra 350 and 700R4 laying around? Put it in this car and go cruising! Car is nominally complete other than Engine, Trans, and radiator. Currently original engine mounts, etc are still set up for a Stude engine.

Top is in good usable condition, but needs a new plastic rear window. A new rear window is included with the car. Top hydraulic system is all there. Lift cylinders have been disconnected so one can operate the top since there is currently not an engine or battery in the car.

All glass is good in the car, there are no chips or cracks. Door and quarter glass all roll up and down nicely.

Odometer says 45,647 miles and from condition of the car, likely accurate.

Reserve is very reasonable. If you like it, bid! Throw an engine and trans combination of your choice in it and go cruising!

It must be picked up here at our residence, I cannot take the car to a truck dock, meet a trucker somewhere at midnight, or deliver it. Look up zip code of 49677 if you want to see how far the car is from you. Sold as-is, where-is. With no warranties or conditions expressed or implied.

Payment by cash upon pickup, or by bank Cashiers Check. If paying by cashiers check, payment must clear to my banks satisfaction, and my satisfaction before car is released. Title will be released at the time car is picked up. Title is a clear current Michigan title.

Once payment has cleared to my satisfaction, car must be picked up within 30 days or storage charges will incur.

No games, no lowballers, no post-auction negotiation, and I will not take payments or trades or tolerate BS.
