Up for sale by a private party is this beautiful 1933 Willys Coupe which uses a Rob Ida fiberglass body and chassis. Car was built by Jack Plumbo of J&R Auto body in Morristown, .J. in 1998. Sold to current owner in 1999 with less than 1200 miles on the odometer, urrently shows just over 18,000. This Willys has won numerous awards and is still a show stopper. It is a pleasure to drive, eliable, nd air conditioned. Owner has all of the receipts and paperwork to go with the car.

The current owner made numerous improvements which are listed in the specifications below. Please view ALL photos carefully and ask questions.

BODY:

Color is a 2-stage, 987 GM medium garnet metallic made by Dupont.

Door handles were shaved and a push button located under the door sill opens each side. It is manual and not electric.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Totally rebuilt stock 1987 Chevrolet ZZ 350 with computer controlled TPI fuel injection.

Heads were milled for a good seal; compression is estimated at 10.5:1; three angle valve job was also performed.

Stock hydraulic roller cam and lifters

Stock Chevrolet turbo 350 transmission which was totally rebuilt with new seals front and rear

Shifter was relocated from the floor to the column

Battery was replaced in the Spring of 2015

Ultra Leather red & white upholstery in perfect condition.

Panasonic AM/FM cassette radio

Vintage Air A/C unit which blows cold air. Due to a mechanical issue, he owner put a new compressor on this Spring, ut has not added the R134 refrigerant.

“Classic” gauges include, peedometer, uel, ater temperature, olts, nd oil pressure. All in excellent working order.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION

Independent front suspension with coil over shocks and Mustang II rack and pinion steering. No power steering.

Rob Ida Chassis

9” Ford rear with 3.50:1 gears and 5 bar suspension

Billet Specialties 15” Legacy wheels

Dunlop tires: front 195 x 60R x 15; rear 255 x 70R x 15

Air ride suspension in the rear with dual control pump

15 gallon Stainless steel gas tan

11” GM disc brakes up front and 10.5” drums in the rear.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A MISSPELLING REGARDING THE GAS "TAN"....IT SHOULD BE "TANK"
ALSO NOTE THE ENGINE WAS NOT TOTALLY REBUILT, HE HEADS WERE TAKEN OFF AND MACHINED, UT THE "SHORT BLOCK" WAS LEFT STOCK.

Since I had several questions regarding the A/C unit and why it had not been charged. The owner went ahead and had the A/C system charged with R134 and it works fine. No problems.
