Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957 Description

1957 Chevrolet 150 Delivery -D57B out of Baltimore . Back in the day before the advent of the van businesses relied on the delivery sedan to preform work that was not practical with a truck. Hence the "invention' of the delivery car. This is a rare 1957 Chevy 150 .The pictures speak for themselves. This car was completely redone...top to bottom with absolutely first rate material. No corners cut. This particular delivery will throw you since many think it is a Nomad but owner "tongue-in-cheek" labled it a NEWmad. 3-M removable non-glue stencils were applied to the rear area to encourage folks to explore it further and are astonished at the realism these stencils exhibit. Again, hey are removable and are a conversation starter for sure. It is powered by a great running small block 350 married to a reliable 350 turbo automatic. Out went the pumpkin rear and it was replaced with a heft 10 bolt. It is equipped with power brakes and vintage air that frankly could keep your favorite beverage chilled. The chrome is immaculate as is the interior. Everything exposed to an element which might cause rust was powder coated. And to keep noise to a minimum the interior was completely dyna-matted. It rolls on Boss 18" wheel and the 10" rear tires would have you thinking it was tubbed... but its not. Try finding a delivery of this quality and caliber for the price and you are sure to be looking for some time to come. Buyer responsible for shipping and all shipping charges. Restoration completed approximately 10 years ago. Recently freshened up.
The 1949-1952Chevroletsedan deliveries were attractive and dependable work vehicles. The 1957 150 series delivery is a valuable Chevy sought by collectors. From 1959 on, he sedan delivery was no longer practical; it was phased out in 1960 as a Chevrolet model, o the requisite Chevrolet body was no longer available.[1]Sedan deliveries were typically used as work vehicles, o they tended to wear out faster than a better cared for passenger car.
