Chevrolet Impala 1969 Description

Just a note to all viewers... This auction is a relist due to a descriptionerror in the original auction listing.
It took me years of searching to find this car. I hate to do this but, here it is...
No Reserve Auction for my numbers matching 1969 Impala Custom Coupe. Clean and Clear Title. Registered and Insured. Garaged and driven once or twice a week. This car loves the open highway.
Special Factory ordered with its 396 V8 2 Barrel 265 Horse Power Turbo Jet Engine, Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission, 12 Bolt Rear End, Air Conditioning and Rally Bucket Seatswith Center Console Horse Shoe Shifter.
Over $16k invested...
The original engine, transmission, front end and rear end have been professionally rebuilt along with a new 3 inch dual exhaust system. 15x8 Rally wheels on like newstaggered BF Goodrich tires. 235/70r15 on the front and 275/60r15 on the rear. The car runs, drives, shifts, handles and sounds exactly the way you want a classic muscle car to. This car is fast and smooth with a nice low growl. Also has a new Starter and an HEI Distributor.
I've purchased many parts for it planning to complete the cosmetic restoration which I am now choosing not to do and sell it. The mechanical has all been done. All the car needs now is to go to paint and install the provided trim and accessories listed below.
Here's a list of new parts purchased (not installed) that go with the car:
-OE Black Steering Wheel-OE Matching Wood Grain Steering Wheel Shroud-OE Center Console Lid-Fender Patch Panels - Made in the USA-Wheel Well Trim Moldings-Complete Weather Strip Seals (Doors, Roof Rail, Trunk, Quarter Windows w/ Retainers, Vents)-Window Felts (Fuzzies) - Interior and Exterior-OEM Grain Vinyl Top-OEM Headliner and Rear Sail Panels-N.O.S. Front Bumper (Yes, I found one from a guy in Michigan!)-OEM Air Cleaner Lid Decal "396 TURBO-JET"-OEM Pair of N.O.S. Back-Up Tail Light Lenses
Also included are all of the body trim/moldings, drip rails, interior trimand badges/emblems that were removed in preparation for sending to paint. The body side moldings currently on the car are not original but I did purchase an OEM set (expensive, ouch again!) to go on the car. I also have an extra set of "396" fender badges.
The car is very clean inside, outside and below. As mentioned it needs to go to paint. It was repainted by the original owner way back when in the original metallic burgundy color but that paint job is worn and tired. A few rust spots include both fenders (you get the replacement panels), passenger side rear quarter has a couple of small spots and a couple of spots in the driver side of the trunk. These areas are detailed in the photos. No need to get discouraged as these are all small repairs and there is no other rust on the car. Again, please review ALL of the photos. The interior floor pans are rust free and have been primed and sealed.
The Air Conditioning is ice cold and the heater works well too. All of the lights inside and out work. Only the fuel gauge is not working and I've narrowed that down to the float on the sending unit.
Interior is in great condition. Only blemish is a VERY small rip on the left side of the driver seat bolster on the seat back and it has been covered with a small piece of Gorilla Tape to avoid further spreading. No cracks or damages on the dash. Carpet looks good but I was planning on getting a new replacement only because this car deserves it. No radio in the car. Didn't have one when I got it and I didn't want one either. So, I found and purchased an O.E.M 1969 Impala Radio Delete Plate. It has the same contours and simulated wood grain as on the dash trim where the radio mounts. With this car, part of the pleasure for me is hearing the beautiful sound of the engine so this was the perfect solution for me. Also includes the original bumper jack and accessories but no spare tire.
