Chevrolet Camaro 1969 Description
Please if you have less then 25 feed back do not bid unless you contact us by phone if we do not hear from you your bid will be canceled. This auctionis for a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe garage find project. Last year we purchased a few cars that were tucked away in the corner of a big garage and this happens to be one of them. The car needs a total restoration but as we all know 69 camaros are still the popular vote in the GM world.Originally frost green poly with green interior. This would make an excellent father son or daughter project. The car is being sold as found with the exception of a few upgrades . We did not get any seats with the vehicle so we purchased a correct set of 69 seats and installed them. They are good cores for new upholstery. We found the original door panels, ash pad, nd console, nd put them back in. Someone dyed the panels maroon but they are not that great and will need to be replaced. Carpets were ruff so we threw them away. Headliner is still intact but stitching is coming loose. All glass is in good shape. Windows roll up and down fine. Dash is in decent shape. It is missing the radio. As far as the body is concerned it appears to retain all of it's original sheet metal with the exception of new full outer rear quarters that were installed. They need the finishing touches on the top surface. Bottom of the front fenders will need replacement partial sections . Doors are decent. Very back section of drivers side rocker panel needs repair. Inner door jamb bottoms both have a rust spot in the typical area. Trunk pan for the most part is very good. There are a couple of spots by the shock towers that need repair (see pics) The floor pans in the rear were replaced with sheet metal years ago. Solid job just not original. Seat risers and front floor pans are real decent but there is a metal repair spot at the very front toe board both sides. This repair is good enough for a driver car but if you want to do the car right it will need replacement. Front sub frame and rear frame are all in good shape just need cleaning up. I put brake fluid in the front reservoir and got the brakes to stop to aid in shipping the car. The motor needs rebuilding . It is a 1967 396 325 HP IA code standard shift engine from a 1967 chevelle SS . The internals of the motor is clean but when you look in the heads the valves are quite rusty. We had a big block turbo 400 auto trans that was quite tired so we hooked it to this motor so we could set it in place. Both are good cores for rebuilding. We also have the torque converter and auto fly wheel that we will include. We have a drive shaft for the car . We also have the chrome hash marks for the rear quarters and a new front chin spoiler in the box. We do have an original flat hood that we can exchange if you dont like the one on the car.We REQUIRE A $500 DOLLAR NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AT THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION AND BALANCE DUE 3 DAYS AFTER AUCTIONS END.Sold on a regular bill of sale . If you need a title in your state we will register the car for an additional $150 and with that and the bill of sale you will be able to get a title in your state. If you need more info or pics feel free to call or email us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays.
