Ford Mustang 1965 Description

Restored Convertible V8 Mustang -Rare 1964 ½ (1965)

I’m selling my excellently restored and well cared for Convertible V8 Mustang, a somewhat more rare and sought after 1964 ½ -- early first-year-of-production Mustang. Please look at all the pictures very closely and I can also TEXT (see below) a video of it running and 360 view. It sounds great with classic American Ford V8 with Flow Master duel mufflers. Love the car, but don't use it nearly enough. It has been garaged since I bought it thoroughly restored in 2005. Detailed information and documentation of the restoration was provided by the prior owner and I’ve included his information below. I've not driven it more than 2000 miles since I bought the car 12 years ago and prior owner had 2000 miles after his restoration. Additionally, I’ve more recently upgraded the vehicle substantially with safety and major performance enhancements noted below. In short, it is a V8 convertible Mustang with all core parts new or restored, including professionally restored engine, running gear, safety features and interior--with maybe the best looking color combination for this model. Local work I’ve had done was by a local specialist Pony Shop and a professional auto repair shop that does great work on classic cars.

It runs fantastic, and is very powerful with its upgrades and you can hear it coming. Great FlowMaster duel-exhaust, Hi-Po manifolds V8 rumble, high performance carb, a rust-free body, excellent restored all around finish (as you can see from the photos) nice condition replaced White interior (white is the only color to have on hot sunny days-doesn't get hot to touch). Original center console (I added a console cup holder), and incredibly deep high-end paint in nice shape and polish with a color combination that makes everyone notice.

Great driving condition. It could be used as a daily driver, but I’ve only used on sunny days. It is beautiful to look at (the early Mustangs had an understated “muscle” look) and with its safety and performance enhancements it a pleasure to drive anywhere. It is not a trailer/show car and I have not tried to keep every part original for show awards or treat the car like a precious not to be used on the road museum piece, though if you are like me you would want to try not parking too close to other cars with this one. A trailer car is not what I was ever looking for and the reason I've been aggressive upgrading systems that aren't visible on the exterior. You want to have fun and enjoy such a beautiful car. I don't claim to be a Mustang collector or mechanic but I hired good ones to get this car upgraded. I wanted, and this is, a higher performing safety-modernized V8 Mustang Convertible that still looks original. I’ve recently found I have only had time to use it a couple times a year and the time has come to let it go to a new home where it will be enjoyed. It fits 5 passengers comfortably and people love rides in it. It’s a gem vehicle as the next owner will find out.

Please only serious, ready to buy inquiries. If you want to buy and are remote please your mechanic/appraiser do a thorough inspection of the vehicle before making an offer or come here for a test drive. Sold AS IS. Will require a $2000 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours via PayPal and only provide bill of sale and transfer title after funds clear, and full payment must be made within 3 days. The car is for sale locally as well on Craigslist and I would much rather sell to a local buyer who can come drive off with it--and my Ebay price will reflect that--also not interested in international sale and whatever that entails for shipping. (If WA buyer, you can buy the '65 vintage license plates from me at my cost and you can register as a collector vehicle-- if that is how you plan to use the car and want to use the '65 WA plates which are not that easy to find.) I will try to pull this listing quickly if it sells local. If serious about buying, you can text about arrangements at (425) 478-4778. Can text you a video of engine running and 360 around car. (425) 478-4778. Thanks for looking. I hope the car brings as much fun to the next owner's family as it has to mine. Kurt
