Ford F-100 1973 Description
Too many projects and too few parking spaces so the F100 has to go!This 1973 Ford F100 Custom has a desirable combination of options:
- 302 CI small block V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor
- C4 automatic transmission
- Rear wheel drive
- Standard cab, hort bed (6.5 foot bed)
- Power steering
- Working factory air conditioning and heat
- Dual exhaust
- 2.75 rear axle (Ford 9") - not original ratio to the truck, t originally came with a shorter gear
Drives down the road nice and straight, s good as any Twin-I-Beam Ford I've ever driven. Due to the gearing, t will cruise down the highway at 70 mph comfortably (aside from the wind noise). It's not a show truck, ut it presents well. Not so perfect you can't use it as a truck, ut a good combination of options in very good condition that would be a great base for a restoration or drive and enjoy as is. I've done a lot of work to make this truck dependable - I daily drove this truck from the end of September until the end of December and had no major issues. It does leak a bit from the engine, ransmission, nd rear axle, ut everything works great. Has a AM mono radio that works, peaker is blown but it will be replaced by the end of the auction. The fuel gauge does not work and I have pinpointed it to the gauge itself. I've seen replacements on eBay for around $20, ut haven't replaced yet as I've been calculating fuel left from the odometer.
