Jeep Cherokee 1990 Description
1990 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0, 2dr, 5spd, AC, PS, PB, AM-FM, 111, 900 original miles. This is a gov't surplus vehicle, fresh from surplus. As pure as the driven snow! Well, almost .. To give a new owner a running start, I updated a few items to insure the vehicle is safe and reliable. New Gabriel shocks front and back (ProGuard front, HiJackers rear), new front brake pads, cleaned adjusted rear brakes, new rear bumper (just small dents on old one), new wipers, new flasher relay, fresh oil and filter, air filter, lubed chassis, tires aired up and inspected, steering wheel straightened. The vehicle runs and drives very nice now. Other than routine servicing, the engine hasn't needed anything, so I haven't even opened the distributor cap. Wires and plugs look newer. The valve cover gasket and oil cap show some weeping, but no drips. The AC compressor cycles on and off, and there is a hint of cool air, but it's an R12 system, so I left it alone. The tires are worn and weathered, but still serviceable. The paint appears USFS original, but most of the clear coat is missing on the upper half of the vehicle. Numerous dings, dents, scratches, but I can't find any evidence of collision damage. Minimal rust, and floor boards under vehicle show original green paint. Front windshield cracked down low, so does not restrict vision. Seats are dirty and have some tears, but are all there with good foam. Transmission is buttery smooth shifting, 4wd engages easily. Exterior doors window weather stripping is very worn, but I am including a whole bunch of it I found used locally. Also some original Jeep mud flaps. I replaced missing emblems and center caps. I tried to only do minimal repairs and updating, so as to keep the vehicle as original as possible. Original Jeep manuals in glove box. The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition, and really drives nice. Very smooth and stable out on the freeway, engine very strong. This Jeep is ready to drive as it is, or would be a fun project to update, with endless possibilities. I trailered it home from Montana from the sale, and have really enjoyed getting it up to speed for a new owner. It is registered to me now in WA state, has a clear title, and all taxes are paid. I just ask a winning bidder to pay in full within 7 days with a $200 deposit, and when funds are fully available in my bank, the vehicle will be ready for pickup. Will deliver vehicle for free to Spokane International Airport (GEG). 2 nice hotels right at airport. Could possibly deliver longer distance (trailer), so ask for a quote. Thanks for looking!
