Dodge Charger 1971 Description

I am looking for just one serious buyer who recognizes this opportunity. Is that buyer you?

QUALITY 1971 Charger R/Ts are real sleepers market wise and they arguably ride/drive/handle better than E bodies and UNARGUABLY are more comfortable to travel in. THIS LOW PRODUCTION V CODE CAR in the right hands can be a real gem without the restoration bill of many E bodies you will encounter AND you will have a one of a kind MOPAR ride which will attract a lot of admiring attention.

That louvered hood is always a crowd pleaser!

No heavy cast grille with hideaway door and motor problems on this one!

No air grabber to silence your carb's loud gulping of air on this one either or to get in the way and add needless weight and maintenance headaches!

NOPE there aren't many of these around and certainly not many have been owned by the same person for over 40 years as this one has been.

Study the pics and see if this might be right for you.

Then come and see if it might be right for you.

Don't ask me what the VIN is. You can see it for yourself when you get here.

YES it's a V code car! I placed the 340 emblems on it in the first hour of ownership to keep thieves at bay and to lure unsuspecting prey on the street :)

If you see this car listed anywhere other than ebay it's a SCAM YOU SHOULD AVOID. Ask them for a contact number or a VIN or where it can be seen. That might be fun.

Car is located in the St Louis metro area has always been in the St Louis metro areaand it was sold new in St Louis at Ray Rixman Dodgewell known locally for their avid embrace of musclecar sales and drag racing enthusiasm. THEY CAMPAIGNED A HEMI 67 DART AMONGST OTHERSCALLED "THE EXECUTIONER" WHICH WAS QUITE A SENSORY DELIGHT AT FULL THROTTLE ESPECIALLY AT MAX QUARTER MILE SPEED and sold at least one of the original competition 68 HEMI DARTS new.

The original engine on this R/T needs a rebuild.

Car has been sitting unlicensedsince 1976 just after the left side was wrecked and mostly indoors.

It was last started and driven in 1982.

Both exhaust pipesand both tail pipes are the originals as is the engine/trans/Dana.

Paint is original except for the left side.

No floor rust.

No frame rust.

There is sporadic rust here and there but this car doesn't need major panel replacement except for the left fender which I don't have and the left quarter which I do have and it was removed in 1976 with generous cuts from an original paint71 R/Tand stored inside since removal.

Most of the interior is presentable but I do have new molded carpeting for it.

I have the original ULTRA LOW MILE G70 14 Polyglas RWL spare tire and wheel the completejack and even the old dated trunk mat if you want it.

I have all four of the original 14" road wheels.

I have four NOS G70 14 Polyglas tires.

A front valance is included and it's NOS.

I have other NOS pieces for it too.

YES I have the front bumper and grille they are undamaged from the wreck and niceand neither front or rear bumper has ever been rechromed and both are basically straight.

YES I have the original six pack carbs and air cleaner to the car but NOT the original cast iron intake but I DO HAVE a vintage Mopar part number Edelbrock intake.

YES I have the original fan radiator and shroud.

YES I have the BUILD SHEETS.

YES theFENDER TAGis in place.

YES I have theORIGINAL TRI FOLD dealer issued warranty ID with the original owner's name on it.

I had the window sticker but it has been misplaced for a few years since a move. It will likely turn up.

I do have some warranty repair docs for it.

Engine has been dismantled down to the short block.

Most everything that came off of it is included and accounted for.

Just come and see it if you are serious about owningthis potentiallystunning piece.

ALSO should it be of any interest to you I have a correct sunroof assembly from a Satellite that I'd be willing to factor in to the deal.

BEST to send your contact number with best times and best days to contact you for more info.

Please be patient for a response back as I expect a lot ofwearying questions but if you are truly and seriously interested and impressed please convey that in any message to me to help me sift through the chaff.

To repeat I am looking for just one serious buyer who recognizes this opportunity. Is that buyer you?

I will post more pics soon.
